[Known] Ranged attacks doing 5 times less damage in r39 than r38!

I went to vauban pass in r39 to fight the huge corpions. I have the same armor and bow as in r38. I noticed that it was taking a long time to kill the corpions in r39. I went back to r38 and tried it. I checked the numbers in the logs and I am getting 5 to 6 times more damage in r38 than I am in r39. One rapid fire does 29 points of damage in r39. In r38 one rapid fire does 156 points of damage.

R39: My last 3 disabling shots were 4,6,4. One disabling shot did crit for 16 points of damage a couple of minutes earlier.
R38: The last three disabling shots were 34, 31, 21 no crits from disabling shot.

It took 28 seconds to kill one huge corpion in r38.

It took about 7 minutes to kill a huge corpion in r39.

Are you getting the "Cover" message?

 

No. I did not see any cover message during the r39 fights with corpions. Does that go to the log file? If it goes to the log file it would help determine if I just overlooked it.

 

I believe this is due to problems currently with the Cover system. We are working toward the fix. Thanks.

 

@Mytaz E'll Thanks! I also tried a couple of elder wolves in deep ravenswood. This time I looked for the "Cover" words flying from the wolf heads. The "Cover" words did fly from the wolf head every time I shot at them, and the damage was substantially reduced. Even when the wolves were right in my face, facing me on relatively level ground.
