Details: After awaking the chest mimic while trying to loot the apparent chest, I attacked it repeatedly, but the chest mimic neither fought back, nor did it lose any hit points. It just stood there with its tongue hanging out, panting.

I wonder if the mimic was removed? I looked around for it, but I could only find one normal chest (next to these coords)

 

Interesting - well, that would solve the problem

 

apparently they're gonna start putting in chests that are randomly real or mimics. which is awesome, but makes the bug hunting a bit more difficult. that was probably the same chest.
