Details: stairs have no geometry - you can walk through them, but not on them. This was introduced in the last release, since i'm certain iv'e been upstairs before

I ran into this in Central Brit and Brittany Fields as well. It was rather amusing, though, to watch the NPC go in circles trying to get upstairs to bed at midnight.
