Leather Armor Look

I want to start by saying that the armor looks great and I am happy with the look.

However,
I do feel like the augmented leather suit is lacking something.
It still looks cool, but I feel like it needs a bit more padding in certain spots or something.
It feels a bit smooth to me.
It's a good step up from the regular leather, but it looks to much like a suit to me and less like armor.
