Left hand carrying weapon

I don't know if this is intended or not, when I carry my weapon in my left hand and I sheathe it I still carry it in my hand. If I enter combat it is still in my hand only my stance is different.
When I carry my weapon in my right hand and sheathe it the weapon disappears until I enter combat.
