Ok, because I have a hard time remembering who I was talking to and about what I was thinking of some kind of Log Book so we can look back on past conversations.

In another thread we were talking about a bingo book to list off wanted criminals.
Here is what that looked like in another game.

But that got me thinking it would be nice to have a book for people you meet in the game.
Beside a little information about the person it could:
    1. Keep old conversation logs so we could remember what we were talking about
    2. Maybe current jobs we accepted from that person.
    3. Freind or Foe - How many times you killed someone or was killed by him
    4. Any notes you want to write
    5. And whatever else

The pic could be just the face or the full paperdoll but should look different then other people in your book.
In the end it is a book to remember who people are in the game.

I remember keeping lots of notes on the old Ultima games. There no reason not to have that all in game and automatic today.

I agree with both of you. I love would a logbook/journal which transcribes the conversations you have had.

It would be nice if the player could edit it and make notes as well.

For instance, you took a quest in dungeon A. You can re-read that quest whenever you want as well as how to get to the dungeon (or whatever other information the quest giver gave you). But you could also make annotations like how to get around that dungeon, which doors lead to which mobs or layout info etc. Be awesome if it was searchable too, so potentially years into playing the game you would literally have a record of your experiences, both from the NPC's mouth, and your own!
