It seems that lot decoration loading is the largest performance hit. This seems to do with GC Heap Overhead of these routines. This results in framerate grinding to a halt in many towns. While a long term goal would be to optimize the lot loading routines to eliminate heap usage for temporary storage, I think the easiest short term solution would be to create a config slider that limits the number of lot decorations loaded per a frame (and thus the amount of GC Heap Overhead generated.) Such a simple slider would determine how many deco objects to load in a single frame. This solution would also be beneficial to reducing other forms of lot loading overhead as even after the heap optimization issues in lot loading are fixed.
