    Title: Samael has amnesia
    Reproduction Rate: 100%?
    Blocker? No
    Details: I've gone through the steps of hiring Samael via his line in Ardoris. I've come to meet him in Necropolis Barrens at his request and he seems to have amnesia.

    Updated to Not a Blocker. Was able to backtrack to Ardoris and once again hire Samael, upon returning to Necorpolis he remembered this time. Note that All prompts during the conversation where grey when I went back, not white as it would have been if I missed a prompt. Very easily a hard blocker for a new player.

    I too... had the same experience when running an alt through this quest.
    I had started the quest a few months ago & took a break from it.
    On re-starting it, I had trouble figuring out where I was up to, as there was no quest in my journal.
    It was extremely confusing.

    Samaels keywords were greyed out & he wouldn't speak to me at the entrance of Necropolis Barrens.
    I went back to the Pedjar Tavern & re-did the keywords & Boom! He was hired & all systems go.

    I do agree with you, that this "issue" could be a deal-breaker for a Newbie.

    @Griffler, Some people with issues like this misremember hiring Samael when they actually hired Karden. Could this have been the case with you? (Either way, when I go in to check Samael's responses in Necropolis Barrens, I'll be taking a look at both of their responses to help players better understand their current state and which NPC has been hired.)
