Make dex and strength be alternative forms of damage

    No it is actually relevant in the discussion. The fact that you can reach 50% crit chance on a dummy vs someone else can reach 70% doesn't seem like much, especially if there is a crit chance cap. The reason why it is relevant is because once you start fighting end game mobs, if their crit resist drops your crit chance by 40%, a build with 300 dex will crit far less often and thus lose a lot of dps compared to a build with 600 dex, especially for bow users whose weapon has a very low strength modifier. Alphaines comments show his experience although he might not have the best way to express himself, but it does help in understanding why a full dex build could be interesting for some.

    Once again, trial and error is probably the only solution here, and testing against dummies might not give the best answers here.

    Should have been clearer; I meant irrelevant to Arkah's process for determining whether or not there is a crit chance, not the wider conversation.

    Though, even with a crit cap, if you're using a light armor build which relies on dodge, a high dex may still have value, even if there's a point at which it stops affecting crits.
