While Subterfuge has some ganking capabilities for PvP, it's widely underused in PvE.

My suggestion to make it more appealing even to starting players is:

    1) make the invisibility skills have a lasting effect against mobs after you reveal yourself. This effect should scale with skill level.

    It would work like this:
You use the camouflage or silent movement skills, and when the first mob detects you, instead of being visible and targeted by all mobs within range at once, the other mobs will look for you for a short time before spotting you. The time to find you would be based on the direction they're facing and line of sight. Using an invisibility skill mid fight should trigger mobs to start to actively look around for you instead of just stop on their tracks. Skill level should narrow down the mobs' field of view, so it would be easier to trick them when coming back from invisibility.
The more sentient the creature, the wider is their standard field of view.

    2) make the camouflage skill instant. There's very little point in using it AFAIK. Possibly add a smoke bomb effect to it :D. This combined with item 1) would generate a faster paced stealth + attack cycle.

This way you can play the ninja character, with the smoke bomb type mechanics: disappear -> backstab -> discharge DPS on single target until others find you, rinse and repeat. One on one DPS goodness.

PS: the leash -> heal mechanics when mobs lose aggro should be greatly mitigated to subterfuge specd characters. Bringing mobs to their geographical limit or attacking from unreachable spots should be accepted for subterfuge specialists. After all, that's what subterfuge is about ;).
