Mannequin Issues

I crafted a male mannequin after the new release. When I tried to place gear on the mannequin I was unable to. I put the mannequin in a chest to try later. When I pulled the mannequin out of the chest and placed it in my home, it had on random gear that was in the same chest. I was again unable to alter the gear on the mannequin. I placed the mannequin in my inventory and it vanished, however all the gear that was on the mannequin seems to be in the chest. I cannot find the mannequin anywhere.

I am, however, able to alter the gear on mannequins that I made prior to release 69
