max durability of an item

    I own a bow with a max Durability of 90. After some wear I have tried to regain it's max durability by using Gold Crowns. {works all other Items} For this particular box the Max Durability does not result, only an increase a value of 1 per gold coin. Why is this and how can it be fixed. The cost is not worth the trouble.

    @Gamlet37, have you or a previous owner used crowns to repair this bow before? it does less each time. check the "major repairs" count on it.
