Middle Downs: Mildryd quest very poorly executed

Luckily I had done this quest before, so I knew to speak to Milde in Resolute before going to look for Mildryd. I was playing offline mode, but I assume the same would have happened in online mode.

When I met Mildryd in Middle Downs, the dialogue went as follows.

• Mildred says she needs my help
• I click on the word help
• She then gives me a choice: to give her 50 gold and tell her to leave OR to tell her to leave or I will steal from her.

This is really weird.

• I give her 50 gold (I am not a bully!)
• She says "my business will be damaged, but I'll struggle to regain what I lost"
• I want to know what her business is, so ask her about job. She collects vegetables and sells them in Resolute.

So now I'm supposed to go back to Milde and tell her that her Mom is ok, but was standing around with unsavory characters.

This is just my personal opinion, but I think this quest and the dialogue was very poorly conceived and executed.

 

I really would like to see more quests we could solve without (as most of our time!) fighting and killing.
But exactly in THIS quest I would be happy to take the robbers at their ears and drag them to jail in Resolute!
Okay, may be not the ears, may be tie them to a bundle of - whatever -

Yes, to have a choice would mean to have a choice to
fight them down to the point of mercy -
and get the promise they will stay away from Lara Brae.
or (may be next time after they forgot their promise!) bring them to jail
fight them down to death
use the Obsidian Pattern to reshape them in a rock
