Ideally the more adapt at these skills, the more they would improve your stats the closer it became to midnight. So there would be a slow progression that climaxed at midnight and fell as we moved into dawn.

Just moving dex up by 1 every 20 levels isn't cutting it. There should be a noticeable improvement to moon magic skills when night comes.

Ha! I'm not sure these skills are actually doing anything. If you're saying they are working as intended, it's very difficult to see what they're doing (if anything).

Unless making the Baron cry is the point. If so, you nailed it!

Seriously, can anyone tell me if these innate skills are doing anything? I don't think they are. Especially Moon Worship.

Ok I thought I just didn't understand it, but apparently it does nothing as far as I can tell also...and if it does do something it's pure weak-sauce.
Moon tree in general is pretty blah...

Yes. They are eating your skill points.

I agree that its hard to see a tiny increase in Dex as a meaningful skill.

But I think that's probably the point of innates. They are not really skills we are meant to see doing something, but are subtle bumps that improve performance over time. Are they worth the investment of skill points? Dunno.

I actually really like the moon tree. It just needs some adjustments. Starting with the innates actually doing what they're supposed to do.

I really like it in theory...practice, so far not so much. Night Vision, Vanish and Shadow Form are awesome...everything else? meh...

My understanding is that those skills do what they are supposed to, but that they just suck so badly that it's hard to tell.

It would be nice if we could see the modifiers...anywhere.

I know I've seen my dex tick up by 1 or 2 before. But I don't think I've EVER seen the duration of moon magic spells increase at night.

A lot of innates were nerfed hard sometime back and are now of questionable value.

Hate to say it, but one painful way to metric it would be to watch your dexterity. Since it will increase at night. Since you gain .05 game hours per level then that is somewhat dubious to track, especially since there isn't a pocketwatch or sundial (I guess a moondial in this case. ;) ) to relay that information (citing previous time telling mechanisms in this game's heritage).

I don't think that moon eater increases the duration of any moon magic spells. I think it increases the duration of time that is considered night time for the purposes of night time bonuses.

Good point, I know the description reads that way now. It's hard to see that working though. I suppose Night Step could potentially be used during day time hours. I guess the first step would be to more clearly show when it's working and when it's not.
