Mossy handle drop rate and Success rate MW/ENCHANT....

What are the odds of obtaining those from salvaging as GM?
Also interested what is your success chance at your 3th/4th enchant or masterwork.
Trying to figure out how many days I need to farm for them

Also interested in the 1k salvage experiment for Imbued components and/or numbers on Elven Hilts...

 

Who is this directed to? Everyone that is GM in salvage? The developers? I am confused.

 

Gris is talking and saying it took him 10 mossy handles weapons salvaged to get one handle, since release he dropped 7 farming the troll 8 hours a day and he got 3 at a cheap price. Hope that helps.

 

Are these weapons they added powerful? I'm not currently active but will buy one if it saves me countless hours of farming or buying from a crafter.

 

Is the 3rd/4th enchantment still broken? Or was it masterworking? Last I heard, the percent of destruction for the 3rd was actually using the numbers of the 4th, which meant more blowups.

 

I did some crafting, it did seem bad like that so I stopped going for thirds. Sara had good luck yesterday though, and did get over 50% on the thirds. I just don't know anymore.

 

The mossy handle is 100hp and .5 health regen. Its awesome.

 

When you say "the troll", I assume you are referring to Torc.
Are they specific to him ?

 

Yes. These ones has his name on it, and the special one Mac talked about (the hardest one to get).

 

I triple masterworked a bunch of exceptional bronze/bronze longswords yesterday and was over 50% (i.e. MUCH closer to the 48% third enchant than the 15% fourth enchant).

I don't think it is broken. Others feel that it is but I go off the numbers that I observe from big batches and not what I feel from small batches.

I'll look at my log tonight and post the actual and factual success/failure results.

 

you got lucky, my "small batch was 300+ items"

 

If you are shopping around for an enchanter I'm 50% & 15%, with weapon enchant locked at 97.9 cause I think the durability option sucks

 

Large sample size and all that. I don't think its broken, I just think the percentages are far too low.

Just yesterday I failed three 87%s on 3 successive items at level 122 skill. The math very well may be right, but its still demoralizing.

 

It just seems to depend on.. something. Most times, huge sample size, horrible odds, but every once in a while, things go well. When things are going well, the odds seem about right, when its going badly, its not even close. I had a pile of non exceptional wands of maple and pine built up, about 300 of them, broke maybe 30 of them going for 2nd, and of those, broke about 7 out of every 8 going for third. That is not even close to 47%, and a substantial sample size. luckily, I did not care much as they were pine and maple, most with leather straps, did get 2 levels in weapon enchant, my pool was really low so it did not put much exp per in.

 

I look forward to the day that I can start looting kit like those bashers and slicers...
