mouseover and inventory

I don't know if I'm alone in this but it is irritating to have the 'popup description' when you mouse over items in inventory. When I'm trying to hunt for something its in the bloody way, obscuring the names. Also, it's completely redundant when you can hold down the control key to see more detail when you want to.

If people just love having the descriptions in their face all the time, I'd even be happy having to hold down something like the alt key to turn it off!

or... at least have the description-in-your-face changed such that you can still see the item name so you ignore it when you want and select the item without obstruction.

Agreed, always been one of those annoying things to me, especially us pack rats.

 

I think this was raised in the Lord British birthday bash. The issue was raised for it to be turned off in the options.

The thing I liked about Eve was the amount of options to hack the interface the way you wanted it. Made for much smoother game play.

 

It would be great to be able to disable this feature. It's very annoying!

 

Yes, super annoying, although I wasn't sure of a good way to get rid of it because in some cases it's needed. Alt to remove or add the tool tip is a good suggestion.

 

An on/off toggle would work nicely.......

I can imagine this maybe an issue for those who don't use the list mode.

 

I would support a switching mode but it is helpful when shopping for a replacement piece of gear, but a pain when just looking for other items.

 

list mode? What is that?

 

If you open your options and go to the interface category, the first option will be to use list mode. This changes it from the mode where you have a bunch of stuff piled in your bags/backpacks to a list view.

 

Yes I use list mode. I didn't even know there was that completely unusable mode.
