I want to start a thread here concerning the music-system in Sota.
What are your experiences with playing instruments ingame (solo or in a party)
What do you think about the sound of the instruments?
What do you think of the range of notes (at the moment 2 octaves) ?

I would like to see the sound of Lute and Harp changing. Harp now sounds kind of electric guitar:D
LotrO made a great job with the sound of instruments, maybe just have a look for it. :)
At least I hope music will get more love since a lot of players like to make music and bands are a great addition to roleplay :)

*cheers for Gaelis* I totally agree

In addition to Gaelis' post ... in my opinion are two octaves for every instrument insufficient. We need at least 3 !

There might be the possibility of having each instrument have different "kits" which would give them different sounds.
The new sound dev mentioned hed like to see if it was possible.

Currently they work really well. Now that the syncing is fixed that works great.
I think its awesome that I can also play the drums free hand to someone playing an abc song, and it sound good to all clients, bravo for that.

But yea the drum need to have more sounds. Glad Arkah and I were able to convince them to to take them back to pitch based instead of smaples.
But there needs to be one or 2 more sounds, I suggested snare/woodblock type sounds.

the harp needs to be turned down about 15% in volume.

    other than that its fantasic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
