Need stackable books

    Tried to create a messy mage's house, and ran into a problem:

    The flat books don't stack! While I can scatter books all over the place, it's not a good work area until you have stacks of books. My desk currently has 2 stacks on it and one stack on the floor. So proud for it being well organized tonight :)

    For the existing books, I will do my best to rectify this for R9. (I just gave myself a low-priority Jira task)

    Not to push our luck, but do you suppose SOME objects might have a toggle for Flat or Standup? Books, Ahnk's, Seed Bags.. There are a number of objects that could be placed either way. I'm not sure free rotation of EVERY object is a great idea, however for a few items, flipping the axis might really be helpful!

    Free rotation of all decorations is a longtime wishlist item in our queue (the system would have to support all, even if only used sparingly by design). No chance of that for R9 that I know of. :(

    I just wish editable books... But the editable books are always pushed to the next release. Finally we will see even Ardoris before that.

    Editable would be nice. But so would books with permissions.

    I really want to have the ability to put "read only" permissions on books in my house.

    I think that will be possible. If not that machine that copy books in the pledge levels will not have any utility.

    I'm not really into decorating, may do some when I'm bored or waiting for friends to come online but I'd have to say if it came down to a choice of one or the other, I'd prefer vertical books that can be placed side by side on a shelf to stackable books. I have a row house, if I have room for books at all they will be on a shelf ;).

    When I find the time to make the pass on the existing books for the "stackable" fix, I am going to try and get some more copies of vertical books in there as well. Without the ability to free-rotate, the best we can do for now is a smattering of both vertical and horizontal.

    ...and the priorities did indeed rule the day. As I said, it was low priority and the more pressing content changes won out. The good news is that since it slipped I am able to up the priority a degree, and with the R10 focus being polish, I might up it another. Apologies for not making it happen this time around, but have faith for next month!

    No biggie, the random transition issue I reported has pretty much made me decide to wait for R10 to play again anyway so I'll look forward to vertical books book in that release :).

    I am sorry i didnt mean it sacastically as i usually do as i good not find a proper emote to indicate non sarcasm.

    Still trying to find reagents other than spider silk anyone know? I am currently counter acting not having them for ice shield by pumping up the ice power GlYPH. Maybe there should be a book about where to find them:p
