    Any hints on getting into these? I found Caradec in Aerie who has "something important" for me, but he seems bugged .. ?

    There is a guard named Kayla in the guardhouse that can start the Aerie quest.

    There is also a quest in Etceter in the old section of town.

    Speak to the guards and ask them about "Courage" and then ask them about "key".

    I have yet to find an entrance to this area yet, but when I get there I will know where to get a key.

    In Aerie head right (north) to the Guard house, same where you can find (inside) Kayla for starting the quest. Right behind the Guard house is a trapdoor ;)

    Without trying to spoil anything, I am utterly confused with the outcome of the Lord Macsen quest. I've completed it and I think I understand what happened but like most quests in this game I'm still left scratching my head.

    We are nearing release with full speed and still the quests are confusing, hard to find, hard to complete and the outcomes are usatisfying... This does not bode well at all :(

    Lord_Darkmoon, I also thought about this (and wrote a lot of threads about better Journals entrys) ...
    Here are some ideas how to make it better to find!

    It is a bit frustrating because I love doing the quests in the game and really enjoy how the main story and many of the side stories unfold (Kiln Cistern for example).

    What really irks me, is that sometimes they aren't intuitive at all! One wrong click or statement can oftentimes lead to a "virtue hit" (Oracle knows my Truth virtue needs all the help it can get) or worse!

    Using the Lord Macsen quest as an example here:

    So I am sent to retrieve this peace treaty that was lost in Longfall Woods. The Journal tells me to search for a survivalist family that lives there. I find them, or at least the thousands of elven children living there, but not a single adult. During my exploration I find the document and bring it back to Macsen who then seems pissed that I found it. I look in my Journal and it tells me to offer it to him again, so I do. He takes it and storms off pissed! WHAT!?!? I clearly missed something by not talking to an adult elf at the survivalist camp, but what was Macsen's issue? I assume that he didn't want the treaty to be found and that I ruined his plans in some way, but none of that is explained. So i'm left scratching head, was there alternate path? Does that simply end that storyline? Clearly it doesn't impact the main story even though I would have thought a peace treaty with the elves would be a MAJOR PLOT LINE!

    @Cordelayne
    I didn't realize you could chat with the Survivalist Elves at all. Interesting.
    Also if you snoop around (probably not the most virtuous thing to do, but in this instance the right thing to do?) the offices of Lord Macsen, you find some more backstory for the quest. Whether that changes the outcome if I had done something else, though, I am not sure.
    Regardless, I also just offered it to him again and ended the quest the same way you did.

    @Cordelayne, @blacksheepboy,

    I also finished the quest like you, but:
    in the house was ONE adult Elf, sitting in a chair. I tried to talk to him, but there was no dialogue ...

    As the writer of that quest, I sorry to have left you so confused. I'll review the ending and try to make things a bit better. I'll also mention my intent is to have at least one follow-up quest with Lord Macsen (which is not yet in the game), so does it help to think of what you already finished as a "part one"?

    In all fairness, it looks like the quest was/is bugged: https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/f...-no-names-dialog-quest-missing-details.99125/

    The current ending would be fine if the second part gives a little more detail on his motives and how it ties into the main story. Maybe even give the avatar a choice that could affect his/her virtue? :)

    Thanks for the response Sannio, keep up the good work!
