Here's the problem with the DJ booths

For both the add-on and the crafted version of these. The lights only come on when playing a wax cylinder.

90% of the time no ones going to play and listen to a wax cylinder. There going to stand there pretending to DJ while the radio is playing .

So you have to start a wax cylinder playing for the light to come on. You now have to spend time watching the light on the table for the wax cylinder song to end to restart and get the light back on.

That's a hassle. (and breaks immersion.)
When you open the control screen for either DJ booth there should be a button to turn the light on without playing a wax cylinder. (The light would stay on till you turn it off or it times out like any other light)

Note the DJ booths are light sources they should be able to be turned on like a light. Not sit there dark counting against our count.

 

Or they need to NOT be light sources.

 

As long as we're talking about problems with the dual waxers, how about the shelf-ness of them. I couldn't figure out how to actually store a wax cylinder on those shelves because I couldn't figure out how to flip them in the right direction.

 

The 'R' key?

 

I thought only a few things (like books) worked with that?

EDIT: tried it, it's control-R, and once I hover it over the player, it un-flips the rotation.

I do agree, however, that the dual wax cylinder really should be an Aether Amp I also agree that they should not be light sources. They don't seem to give off any ambient light, so...
