New player goes to Aerie, crafting merchant tool tip says make leather helm, incorrectly

I made a new avatar in truth. After doing a few quests in Blood River Outskirts, I decided to go to Aerie and train some skills.

I saw that the crafting vendor was highlighted, and floating over the blue icon in the compass gave me a message that I was supposed to make a leather helm.

But, when I got the the crafting vendor Gilda Metcalfe she instead gave me a quest to get 12 cotton.

I can even see the tanning station highlighted in blue as if I am supposed to be using it. But it is not the right equipment for this quest.

 

I also wrote bug reports in R51 because of the highlighting.
About the cotton: Yes, at first it is missleading. But later we see it's a part of the leather helm. But you're right - it's confusing!

 

no, cotton isn't part of the leather helm. an old version of the recipe included a cloth lining, but the current leather helm recipe is only leather and wax.
