No Criticals on smelting ?!

i smelted over 100 ingots and rings, still get no crit.

Other players told me that in r28 they craft a +x ring.

Benefactor expert smelting station.

Crit chance at at 25% but still get no one.

 

Crits when crafting no longer result in an enhanced item. Crafting crits now only give extra XP for that attempt.
To get an enhancement on an item it now has to be done on the Alchemy table.
All items crafted are the same until you take em to the Alch table to add enhancements and enchantments.

 

Hrmm when did this come into play? can you point us to a post or were this was discussed?

 

Cant find an exact post that specifically discusses the new changes, I'm sure it exists, just don't feel like 'needle-in-a-haystacking-it'. Bout the third post down in this thread GingerLoaf discusses some things.

This was listed as a change in the R29 Instructions under the Crafting section. I strongly advise reading these notes (Personally they email them to me), they may be long but are incredibly informative. Here is a link to the R29 Instructions along with a snip of the specific change.

• Critical Success: Criticals can no longer be triggered by batch crafting. Only manually crafted items get the benefit of a chance to be a critical success. Additionally, equipables are no longer the only items that benefit from critical successes. ALL items can receive criticals now (decorations, food, components, etc.). Criticals are now specifically tied to receiving increased experience from crafting. The "upgrade" aspect of it has been replaced by Alchemy's new Enchantment system
