[No Repro/Info Needed] The oracle lips move but no text appears in my chat window.

Title: Oracle lips move but no text goes to chat window.
Reproduction Rate: This has happened before, but I cant predict when it will happen.
Blocker? There is a workaround. Log out and back in.
Details: Both my tab with all boxes checked and my tab with combat and misc removed do not show the oracle text.
Steps to Reproduce:
0. Playing my alt Kit Murphy.
1. Logged out inside oracle before patch 35 ended.
2. Logged back in after patch 36 had patched to patch 507 thur evening.
3. Double click oracle which is right there in front of me when I log in.
4. See no text in chat box.
5. Run out of oracle building and back in hoping for it to help.
6. That didn't help.
7. Logged out of game and pressed resume to go back in.
8. Still see oracle and double click it.
9. This time it works.

In the player owned town virtue oasis, I had logged out in the oracle building last night. I logged in today just after patch 507. I was still there so I double clicked on the oracle. The oracle lips moved but nothing went to my chat window. I have seen this before, so I did the same thing again. I went out of the building and back in to see if the oracle would start working. It did the same thing again. I went out and back in again. It did the same thing. I tried my tab in the chat window that showed all of the conversation and misc items and it was not on there. Nor was the text on the other tab on which I had unclicked the combat.

After I typed slash bug I tried it again. The oracle lips moved but no text went to the chat window.

I logged out and resumed to get back in and it worked correctly.

Now I see a new tab "The Oracle". When this was failing, there was no "The Oracle" tab in my chat window.

 

This happens for me when I have my pet summoned in the oracle building (I have to dismiss pet before oracle talks to me).

May be a network sync/connection issue? We're not seeing this behavior when testing internally. With a pet or without.

 

I'll test again when I get home. Is there a way to test if i'm having syncing issues on my end?

 

It would be noticeable for most/all NPCs and interactables having weird delays. As opposed to this single one.

 

I'll test again, but I've only ever noticed the delay in this specific instance.

 

Still does not respond with my pet out (large red spider) and responds again the second I dismiss it.
Hard to test due to long pet summon times. Also, does not affect talking to guard outside the oracle area in Ardoris. Might be tied to location of pet possibly?

 

Without a pet and for the 3rd or 4th time I try. No new tab appears, mouth operates but no words.. Complete reboot today before I tried this. Everything else works as it is supposed to.
I am curious why this can not be duplicated?

 

I got the Oracle to talk to me today. All I had to do was leave the POT and go to Brit Central.

 

Can confirm having the same problem.
(I was using an alt.)

I logged in with an alt account who logged out inside the Oracle building. Clicked to speak to Oracle and got the chat message: "You just tried to talk to that NPC. Please wait a moment."

I waited for about 5 minutes and nothing happened. I double clicked a few times in a row and instantly got the same message (so it isn't a lag issue since the Oracle is responding somewhat.)

I then logged out and resumed, tried again and got the exact same response.

I then exited to login, logged into a different account (who also logged out inside the Oracle building) and it responded normally, allowing me to complete the daily Test.

I then logged back to the bugged alt account and again got the same response "You just tried to talk to that NPC. Please wait a moment."

I then exited the scene to world map, then re-entered and ran back to the Oracle and was able to complete the daily Test.

I did NOT have a pet out at any time during this issue.
