[Not a bug] Copper Ingot from Scraps not working

This is a recipe I've used a lot prior to the update.
It is still in the recipe list. Double clicking puts the components in the top right listbox.

But the bottom left says "No recipe found" and the Craft button is disabled.

This is repeatable.

@Cobra101 - Thank you for reporting. Which build number did you have this issue it?

I was just able to make copper ingots and iron ingots... both with and without scraps in Build 581.

If you are using this patch and still having an issue, perhaps check your ingot mold and make sure there is some durability left on it. I think right now, when the ingot molds are out of durability, they aren't changing to a "broken ingot mold". That is a known bug and has been recorded for review already though.

Anyway, check if it's still happening and that you are on build 581. If it is, then check your ingot mold. If none of that is an issue, then please report back with more info.

 

I'm on Build 581 and the mold showed 31/98 (not 100% sure on second figure but first was definitely 31)
I'll try again tomorrow

 

Now on 582 and using a brand new Ingot Mold. Still no joy.
I have also tried a basic Smelting Station in case the special one didn't like me.

The recipe was self-taught. I wonder if that is the problem?
I was successful with a smelting recipe I had bought (Medium Stone Fence)

I also taught myself the ordinary Copper Ingot from Copper Ore and that is also not craftable for me.

I'll try some other self-taught recipes and see if that is the blocking factor

 

My mistake, Apologies for raising issue.
I did indeed buy a new smelting tongs and chose equip. What I didn't do was unequip the existing one.

Purely as a suggestion, and to prevent dimwits like me troubling you in future, if instead of "No Recipe" at the bottom right it would be more relevant to put "Tool knackered" or similar. Also automatically unequipping broken tools would have saved me from looking quite so daft.

Anyway I know better now.

 

May still be an issue....

Normally I find that equiping a new tool automatically unequips the original equiped version. This works when swapping between normal and Prosperity tools for instance. Just a thought...

 

True, when you equip a tool, it should unequip the existing one.

Glad to see the "broken" recipe was just due to a broken tool though.
