    It seems like food will buff certain stats/regeneration. In some instances, could it affect skill gain?

    It may not be necessary/appropriate to do this for all skills, but it could be an amusing easter egg.

    I doubt that they will provide any buff that directly affects skill / xp gain, like eat this food and you gain 20% more XP for the duration or temporarily gain 5 skill points.
