This dead horse has been beaten to a pulp and I really don't see why we need another thread on it.

I don't know what to say.
This are no news nor were the 'alternatives' that were proposed real alternatives.

There are no backers who will wait a month to place their pledge house - the lowest pledge level that includes a house will be able to place their house at 23.9 days. I get your argument, but for those 24 days the Ancestor pledge player can save all their gold or spend it on whatever they want not caring one bit about getting a deed or a house as it is included in their pledge. That is getting what they pledged for. The logical fallacy is rampant here.

The reality is no pledge level that includes a deed and a house has to wait a month before they can use it.

I meant whole pledge system. The fact that there is option to pay 12k and get huge advantage over the others. It get's even worse when you realise that those who paid same amount of money in early days gets more benefits than newcomers who wants to donate money for the developement.

Some people will be able to claim lots before my pledge level, while others will be after my claim date/time....

We've known this would be the case from day one.

I could have pledged higher to get an earlier date, but chose not to do that.

As far as I know, I'm getting exactly what I paid for.

Not sure I'm understanding what exactly the OP is looking for here ?

It was a funding decision, all games cost money to make they can barrow the money from investers or offer rewards to them. Consider your self a share holder in the company hopfully in time you will see payoffs on your investment.

Early backers took a larger risk backing the game early on, their cash helping to finance the game so it could succeed to this point.

New backers today have far less risk that SOTA will fail compared to what early backers had.

Less risk, less reward. This is how life works.

The game's devel0pment has been announced for years now. There has been plenty of opportunity for anyone interested to support the crowd-funding and get a few rewards for their financial support.

Considering last two updates SOTa goes down the hill really fast. Every game in progress needs constant money flow to develop. I dont see any motivation for newcomers to donate at this point. That's why I call it elitist

Shareholders get's percentage of business income. We are more similar to MMO junkies whose role is to pay to test game from wipe to wipe.

Some times share holders get a steak in the investment, look at people who buy into time share for condos.

There are many kind people in this community. Join a guild and ask for help, and I'm sure you will have a good experience.

I wouldn't get hung up on this elitist stuff and let that get in the way of having fun.

The game is about your experience. Not what someone else has.

    Subscription fees, really ?
    I havent heard about it.
Anyways, It would be better option than COTOS, but from other hand it would contradict with KS statement of buy to play model.

Nope its optional, and should support a couple diffrent choices of what you get. There has been very little discussion about it other than stuffs in the works.

Community is great, and I am sure that some people would help me. I just don't like this overall elitist feeling. It makes me feel bad that I havent paid enough money at certain point of time.
