Oracle test does not give you a chance if you accidently type goodbye

I felt so sorry for myself when I accidently typed goodbye when I was supposed to type yes or no to answer the test question and get 500 gold and 1000 experience. But, then I noticed that after I typed goodbye the Oracle said "Goodbye is an invalid response. You must answer yes or no". Now why would the Oracle say that then close the window and deprive me of a chance to answer the question? I reopened the conversation but the oracle did not allow me to take the test again.

Since the Oracle tells me that goodbye is not a valid response, surely she knows that I meant to answer the question before closing the conversation. Wouldn't it be nice if the Oracle either allowed the conversation to remain open long enough for me to answer yes or no, or at least lets me take the test again after I reopen the conversation?
