My advice: think long and hard about what you can "afford" before listening to Asclepius's advice. Start with a low tier, then wait until we are closer to release to upgrade. That way you can be absolutely sure you won't be sorry.

Yeah I am totally with you on that. I decided to take everything I spent on EQ2 and put it into SotA. I hadn't planned on the community being so much fun to hang around. I don't even really care if the game ever launches... Well as long as we have Avatars Radio or something like it!

 

Baroness Kazyn Phoenixfyre? I can get behind it. Well when i thought about it, games that i played only a bit like secret world i paid 300 for a lifetime sub. I got a LOT of usability out of star trek online which i also lifetime subbed. Addin a few years of wows monthly sub, few years of eve and uo? if the game winds up consuming the amount of time that uo did but improved for the current gen? Jeez i might even wind up saving money.

I wound up doing the lord thing as well as purchasing a player owned town as i not only wanted to get involved but help build something in the games future. So far the people ive met and the fun ive had has been worth the investment already.
