Patcher So Slow Peer to Peer

    Hello all

    I was so looking forward to the Wipe and getting in game then i loaded up and Mam So slow Patcher.

    Its been 5 hours and its still patching can we please open a way to patch direct not just through peer to peer.

    Live in an Australian timezone so maybe not many people sharing content during when i update.

    Good thing i don't care where i put my land......

    Ill put it on again tonight got about 20% last night hopefully its quicker tonight atleaste for the weekend.

    I've despised the patcher since the earliest of releases. It's just horrible. It creeeeeeeps along, and then once downloaded the application of the patches often locks up my systems for a few seconds here and there. Ugh.

    However, closing and restarting the patcher a few times does speed it up. Just this second I went from 200+ kbs to 4M just by closing and restarting it. Just FYI.

    Stuck on 65kb/s. Left it running overnight. Barely any progress and still running slow. I closed it last night and restarted it hoping it would pick up but no luck. :-/

    200MB/s connection which is working fine elsewhere.

    Bah. I don't really use steam. :-S

    I think I have it now, but didnt link it to sota. If everything still sucks when I return from work then I guess I can explore that option. Will be pissed if I miss the start of my window. Three years waiting and the opportunity passes.....

    It's up to you man, might miss it with port launcher, wont miss it with steam. I chose steam ;p

    You know, I think it depends if you download during peak hours, more traffic. Having said that, I closed and opened my client when I saw that the download down to 0 Kb for more than a few over. Reopen and after he resumed download decently ...

    Just cancel the patcher and open the torrent file up in qBitorrent. Then copy over the blank in the same folder. Rerun launcher.

    Every time I mention "The Steam patcher is much faster", a bunch of people have to chime in with "Ughhh I WILL NEVER USE STEAM IT SUUUUCKS!". Ok, it was just a suggestion :)

    Sorry I shut down my PC last night. I've been leaving the client open 24/7 since I first downloaded the game a year or so ago?? I know P2P can be slow on alot of connections so I try to do my part and help, as long as my PC is on of course. (unlimited bandwidth)
