So I am blocked by a barrier in the bottom of Malice with no apparent way to get it down. The barrier says 'Samael's Regrets' when you mouse over it. This barrier is after the barrier where you collect the three gems. I get words on the screen that say I can faintly hear Samael talking to his wife... Is there some obscure thing I need to do, or is it a bug?
Sounds like you need to go back and talk to Samael. Make sure you go through all the dialogue options.
There was a bug - and the barrier was taken down for a long time. Good to hear it is there again As I did this quest I found 3 papers and the 3 gems in the skeletons. I think, the need of the papers should have been canceled, but I don't know ... 1. look in your inventory, all gems and papers are there 2. as Bowen Bloodgood said: talk to Samael. Try words, too, which are not underlined!
Thank you Bowen! Than the papers were canceled as it was said So, there must be something else to do - yet
Thanks for the replies! I do have 3 gems and 3 papers. Soo how could I talk to Samael when he is not there? According to quest dialog he is to meet me deeper in Malice. I have not encountered him yet. Now I get the message that I can hear him, but access is blocked by the barrier.
When I did it, I had to go back up to where he was with the ghost of his wife and convince him that he needed to let her go. Once he did that, he followed me back down and the barrier was gone, or was removed once we got there.
That seems odd. He should be in the first big chamber just past the spiders. There's a ghost in there as well you can talk to. If he's not there a couple ideas you might try. 1: Look at you're compass and see if there are any markers to show where he is. (M if you don't have it up) 2: Try his summoning whistle? You should still have it in your inventory.
So this was it, I had missed him up in that beginning chamber, so it would not let me pass. I'm not sure how I missed him... but it was late and I had had a good brew(s) He may not have been there because I want back through and re-looked over everything, but like I say... good brews... Thanks again
