pets are getting in the way

there are times where i simply can not loot mobs until i dismiss my elemental as the damn this is so clingy as to be right on top you at all times, making it impossible to loot at times.

 

As an alternative to "dismiss" you can always tell them to "stay". After looting put them back to "follow".

 

Any chance of getting a permanent fix as that will get a bit tedious after the 1000th time looting a corpse?

 

If it's a large problem, let's get some details. Can you include a screenshot of what's happening?

 

I don't have a screen shot of this, Scrambler. But I have an ongoing problem with pets. They tend to enjoy following me directly behind my butt. It seems like they should follow off to one side and stop/land off to one side as best they can. Just an observation I wanted to pass on.

Yea, I've been having this issue for several releases actually. I thought it was a known issue?

Pets should have a permanent "follow behind distance" when not in combat instead of right on top of you. They always like to sit right on top of things I want to loot. I often resort to running away a few feet until the pet follows, then quickly running back and looting before they can sit on the corpse again.

If they could script them to stay at a minimum distance behind you at all times out of combat... that would be fantastic!

 

I haven't been in the last 2 releases but plan to be in more during R29 & R30. I'll grab screenshots when I notice it happening.
