Pets On Lots Still Not Patrolling

Noticed today's patch notes said home pet patrol on lots had been fixed, but I can't see there has been any change. Pets still stand there and don't move, most of the time. Rare to ever see them move around the lot/house.

• Fixed issue where home pets were not patrolling on house lots

 

Pets on your own lot should idle and wander.

Are you seeing your own pets not move at all, simply staying in place the entire time (watch them for a minute)?

If so, let me know which pets they are and I'll see if there is something else to fix. Patrolling behavior on a lot is essentially allowing them to wander. If you see them move at all, then it's working. I'll likely be building more into what patrol means on your lot, possibly tuning distances and other things in the near future.

 

My pets (about 98% of the time) just stand there in the spot I placed them last, and never move. I could spend an hour there, and never see them move.

On the very rare occasion I've seen them move, they seem to head to one spot (both of them end up in same spot) and stay there. One time I saw my cat dart out the door soon as I opened it :3 My llama always walks in through the front door (he's outside) and never goes around the back of the yard or around the front yard where he's actually placed. The cat stays indoors, except for that one time, and never heads up the stairs.

In total, I've seen them move about four times since I've been playing, and that's with going to my lot several times a day, each day.

So basically they almost never move, and when they do move (maybe 1%-2% of time, if that) they tend to congregate in same spot, or act erratic, so buggy behaviour all round.

Pets I use are:

Baby Llama
Black Cat

 

Found today when I logged straight into my house my pets moved, but when returning to house they never moved.

So if you log out while in house then log back in (still in the house) you might see them move, but every time I've been out then gone home, they stand still.

 

They move around a bit now, but I would like to see them wander all over my yard.

 

They don't move for me, apparently unless I log out of house then back into house. Will test later if this will always get them to move.

Otherwise they stand there, completely still.

 

Just logged back into house and yes they move when I do this, otherwise if I go out somewhere to another map then come back to house, they will not move. Devs will need to test under those conditions and not open game up while already inside a house (so leave house, go onto another map, and wait long enough for scene to reset).
