When crafting, tables do not know you are holding the needed ingredients when they are in a bag. This makes organization a little more difficult and tedious.

I suggested this a few releases ago and would love to see it happen.

I've suggested it off and on, though I've yet to see a yes or no (or reasoning).

    Sounds like a good suggestion.
And perhaps while they are at it they can create a special bag recipe for a special bag, and the items you put in this special bag are not seen in any sale, trade or crafting window.

Along these same lines the devs will hopefully implement subcontainer item stacking. What I mean by this is I have several bags in my inventory that I organize items in. E.g. a bag for reagents, a bag for craftables, a bag of foods etc, and I want my items to stack in the subcontainers instead of creating a new stack at the root level of my inventory when I add them to my inventory via looting, crafting, etc. It would also be nice if they could allow all weapons and armor of the same type to stack. E.g. rusty swords, leather gloves, and other weapons that were created by the same crafter and have the exact sane bonuses and penalties, after all, containers are not restricted by item shape and size but by number of items in them. I wouldn't even mind if they lowered the number of items that fit in containers to implement this.

I expected that when crafting that the craft table would be able to pull from a bag filled with craft material. It would be great if this could be implanted.

I did it some days ago I had inventory and my chest open, activate the cooking table and doubleklick the items I need from my chest to appear in my inventory . It worked .

I believe people are wanting to have the crafting table recognize open chests and take what they need from any open inventory window. Less shuffling of items from chests to inventory and back to chests.

The prevention of dragging items between bags while crafting is an antiscripting measure....

But wtf after 4 years, do we not have autostacking within bags is beyond me.

There's nothing that prevents me from dragging items to and from an open container while at a crafting station.
