Just like with the sticky stairs sticky thread we have some homes in the system - some we were pending more information on. I'd like to compile all the 'unable to place item #### home' information to fill in these gaps.

Remember to check to see if it is still happening in build 612 or later. Some of these fixes have gone live.
When posting please include the following:

    1) Item you are placing

    2) Where you are placing it /devbug at the location is your friend! (remember to paste what it auto-copied)

    3) Full description of the home. Example: Adobe Two Story w/ Patio & Balcony Village Home is PERFECT.

Screenshots are great. Are you placing it on the wall, on the floor, or on a table...? It's good info!
And as always, make sure you are not already at placement capacity for that particular item.

Unable to place chandeliers in 3 Story Elven Tree Town Home. I've tried literally every area with a flat ceiling in my Treefort of Awesome, and no where can I place either my newly purchased Obsidian Chandeliers or the Stained Glass ones.

Building Type: Viking 4-Story Row House

Item: Large Ornate Cast Iron Fireplace 9-Pack from Add-on store

When placing "Large Ornate Cast Iron Fireplace Chimney Flat" on top of the fireplace, it is not possible to connect it to either the "Large Ornate Cast Iron Fireplace Chimney Floor Extension" or the "Large Ornate Cast Iron Fireplace Chimney Tall Floor Extension". It will, however, connect to the "Large Ornate Cast Iron Fireplace Chimney Roof Extension". This renders the floor extensions useless.

I also experienced the same issue with "Large Ornate Stone Fireplace 9-Pack" when using it on a house from the Lord level pledge.

That is correct... "Floor Extension" pieces, as a basis, were made to be placed on the floor of multi-floor row-houses, on each floor above the fireplace, to make it seem like the chimney extends through the house from floor to floor... Though it can be placed directly on top of a fireplace when there is actually enough space above it for it to fit, in cases like you mentioned, collision will not allow it... normally, for the basic Row Houses (which unfortunately have varying floor-to-ceiling heights) I had to create the generic fireplace deco pieces to fit the smallest size, with the Viking versions of the row-houses having taller ceilings... This is something that looks weird, I know, and that's unavoidable when using the pieces "as designed" bet luckily, I ALSO designed a work-around for this problem (using the 9-piece kit set) that DOES actually look good, which I'll explain in the following images...

And remember, as you try to stack any of these pieces, you may need to move the camera around and try it from a few different angles to get it to work the way you want it to...

    Hopefully this helps!
