    I use fences which contains any icons and folders I have into nice boxed areas shaded and tonal to my desktop, then doubleclick it and the whole desktop looks empty.

    I respect you more now merely because you play The Settlers. I fell in love with that game ever since playing Heritage of Kings simply because I could use the weather system to turn and melt frozen lakes, destroying all hope for armies to destroy my beautiful settlement. Oh and all the various upgrades.

    I'm surprised I hadn't heard of Fences before, but then I had no reason to look - until seeing your desktop and thinking about mine... I checked them out and it looks pretty nice, so thx for the tip - lollie !;)

    I always use default desktops or even plain colored. It is because the image takes up memory which I want to save for everything else. Yeah, I know it is not a big deal anymore.... old habbits et al

    The funny thing is it took me almost 2 months before I realized it was a Dragon :)

    But my DT is also very clean and empty :-( OCD LMAO

    I thought I'd contribute. I try to keep my desktop fairly tidy. I only put things I use a lot on the desktop itself.

    This is average, I work on 20+ projects simultaneously on a regular basis, if it's on the desktop it's important.
