From what I've read about the updates to the Property Manager function, it gives the player five slots (to start with) in which to store a house (or basement) and all the assets contained within (furniture, lights, NPC's, etc).
That way, you can pack up your lot, use your deed on a new lot, then unpack your stored house and contents into the new lot.

My question: Is it possible to change (or add to the) way this feature works, so that it stores the placement of all the assets without placing them into storage?

Use Case Scenario: Bob owns a village home and has it set up perfectly. All the lights and furniture are in place. The house looks awesome. Bob goes to the asset store and finds a new village building, and buys it to set up a tavern. Bob really likes the way his house is set up. But Bob wants to decorate the new tavern with several of his assets used to decorate his house.
If Bob puts his house into storage, all the furniture and lights and such are put into storage, and will therefore not be accessible to use when he places the tavern down.
Of course, Bob could run around his house, pick up the assets he wants to use in his tavern. But that takes away from how his beautiful house was set up...and who knows if Bob will remember how things were placed if he chooses to bring back his house 9 months down the road.

Suggestion: Adding a toggle to the Property Manager to allow the player to use a Slot to keep the location information of all the assets on a lot, and not place those assets into the bank.

so now what Happen when Bob place the newer house with a "few" of the selected items there and then wants to place the other old house someplace else on his lands - now there are "Empty Spots" he has in his stored design but no item to actually fill it ?????

Sorry but your wish appears to create more issues than it fixes??

Not necessarily. It all depends on how the data is stored. If items are tracked in a database, and associated to the player that owns it, where it is (is it in a bank, a container, out in the world, etc) and where its position is if it is in the world....then it should not be too difficult. Bob saves his house layout to slot one in the Property Manager, the save copies the state of the assets if it is in the lot. Bob then takes out his tavern layout and applies it to the lot. If the item is currently in a bank or another saved layout, and is a part of the tavern layout, it is moved into the world and placed in its position. If the object is "unavailable" (it's sold, doesn't exist, etc)...nothing is done with it.
