    I just watched Twitch player/streamer "thegracefulbard" play an amazing performance:

    Performances like this would attract a real crowd in game is other players could hear just walking past the musicians character in game.

    The audio would need to stream locally like a Juke box, so that explains part of the reason localised direct vicinity audio is better over channels in a program etc like discord.

    Great for twitch streamers!

    Microphone chat isnt just good for Discord guilds. imagine permormances like this open to in game audiences by default? the richness these kinds of performances would bring to the world I believe is overlooked.

    For every one of these magical performances you are going to get 10 burp'n charlez performances.. so.. this stuff needs to be opt in for sure other than that I have no problem with it as long as it isn't decreasing performance or increasing client side overhead.

    This is why local vicinity (not zone) could be the default, (opt in for mic sounds ok) Games like DayZ to name but one has sucseeded with such a implementation, Thatnks for your comment @Lathiari!
