1. We have a dedicated Player Test Environment on our QA server available for player use. This server will be kept open with periodic database resets, when we will copy the database from the live server. The server database will be updated at least twice a month during a scheduled maintenance window.

    Though players are welcome to use the QA server to experiment or test anything they wish, we will post patch notes and testing directives in this area. Players testing new content, features and systems will greatly help in reducing post release bugs and making the game better.

    To assist players in helping us make the game better, the Test Server will award login bonuses in CotOs and Gold coins to allow players to purchase resources or anything they may need to test from the Crown Store and/or from the in game vendors. In Addition, the Developers will announce dates/times when Dev Assisted Player Test Events will occur on the QA Server.

    Please use the Test Environment Bug and Feedback forums for QA Server activities only.

    You can help test by downloading a new SotA Launcher(QA) installer to download a separate QA copy of the game. It exists independently from the regular live version of the game and installs to a separate folder. To use the Player Test Environment, please download the QA Server client here:

QA Testing Directive: New Unity 2018 update applied to the QA server

    Greetings!

    We have updated the QA Server with the latest version of Unity 2018. As many may recall we have updated QA in the past and rolled back due to the new version breaking more than it fixed. This update has significant fixes (or so Unity says) that should improve client stability and therefore performance due to reduction of memory leaks (and such).

    The update just went live and we are looking for as many players to test as many things as possible.
    (Please keep in mind that this update isn't expected to fix specific things that have already been reported (like pink bananas, or floating rocks, etc), though you never know.

    What we are looking for at this time is a stability check. Please log in to the QA Server and play through your normal day. Make sure that the client is acting 'normal' and there are no massive Crash To Desktops (CTDs).

    Some things we suggest trying out (but feel free to do the things you feel are important if they aren't on our list!)

    * Try moving things on your lot or in your POT. Place things, move things back into inventory and the bank.
    * Talk to NPCs, the Oracle, go to vendors and merchants buy and sell.
    * Crafting Tables - Make items, apply patterns, enhance items, salvage, and repair
    * Combat - Test skills, especially Area of Effect (AOE) skills, Large groups
    * Deco - Deco placement in general for Houses, POTs, Basements and Dungeons
    * Harvesting resource nodes
    * Getting a blessing

    Bring a friend! (we want to make sure that these items work and they require a second player to interact with):

    * Interact with the chat window
    * Chatting in local, Universal, etc
    * Looting undead (specifically the undead) - both alone or with someone else in a scene
    * Have someone else in zone and jump
    * Have someone else in zone and use a teleport signpost
    * Use Emotes (can the other players see them correctly, and can you?)
