I've only played Ultima Underworld and Ultima 7 but they were both fun games and that this is the same creator. My friend told me there was a chance to play-test this game on March 27th if I pledged to adventurer account but I'm not sure where to download it? Thanks for your help.
Before each release weekend there are notes published. Here are the notes from last time: https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/?p=35725 You could follow the link at the bottom of the page and download the old client, and then patch it when the new release is out. ("Release 3 Player Instructions" if it's not immediately obvious...)
Also if you pledge, try to find a player in the market place, who still offers founder adventurer pledges with 40$ value at a discount. Saves you money, gives you founder item and title and the chance to apply 20$ bonus and upgrade your pledge still for Kickstarter prices to the wanted pledge level (i.e. Explorer to get all 5 planned episodes). *Salute* Olahorand
Welcome R.Janson! and Karnidge! Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any additional questions, you can PM me as well. The devs & mods try to keep the most important threads at the top, but we all know forums aren't the most organized source of information. If you haven't yet, do check out some of our community's fan sites. We also have great events such as the weekly Pen of the Avatar art show w/lead concept artist Stephen Daniele (caravaggiosWolf) ultimacodex.com (ultimacodex) forsakenvirtues.com (dame lori) thecaverns.net (stile teckel) The "Developer Tracker" in the forum navigation is an excellent way to find important updates and track down elusive official threads. Hope to see you in game this weekend! Oh, and if you've pledged, be sure to redeem your alienware arena coupon for an additional $20! It only take a couple minutes and works like a charm! Actually this can be used to start an account as well, but the lowest pledge level to receive the game is $45. There will be a lot of hubbub going on in the next couple weeks as we end our first year of crowdfunding, so keep an eye on the updates (in your email or on the front page after you login to the SotA website). And do take a look at the release schedule so that you understand what to expect from the game in its current Pre-Alpha form
Hail and well met! Welcome. Another community fan site to check out is http://www.sotamuseum.com Enjoy your stay.
Welcome to you both! This is a great community, surpassed only by the great game that is developing. Enjoy your stay!
While I am mostly positive about the potential of this game, I sometimes let my criticisms be known. But no matter how anything would change or be designed contrary to my opinion, I will follow this game to its ends. Why? Because Richard Garriot. That man is a hero to me.
And now the actual notes are up (that I mentioned would be coming). See: https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?threads/release-4-update-instructions.8519 Cheers
