R33: Where to buy Raffle deed?

anyone confirm yet how much tickets cost?

 

just checked the price of a ticket....HOLY COW. Due to RL committments I cannot be in game EVERY day. It will take me forever to get that much for one ticket. I guess i will be living out of my bank box for the duration. And how often are they going to do this lottery? Also any ideas when the second anniversary gifts will be available. I checked today and only saw the amplifier thingy.

Sadly in Owl's Head the Anywhere ticket is 18k and the POT ticket is 10k. I will be homeless for a long time

 

You've got a deal, I've got an ugly village tower I won that needs a lot. I try to make my lots look natural and part of a town, and as a necromancer I love the thought of the tower, but it'll be a challenge to make it look "natural." But it'll be fun trying.

No worries. I am no deco-nazi as long as you don't build the tower from blocks yourself. And that's not even because of esthetic, it would be just because of lag ^^
Btw if you need a home i got a lot to spare in my PoT. It's row only but everbody is welcome.

Yes I am gonna run around to other towns for sure and check.....but its still displeasing that it has to be this way. I think everyone should only get one lot deed...upgrade or downgrade it doesnt matter but Everyone should be able to just buy the deeds and then place. Hell i dont even want to be in an NPC town....i am wanting to be in a PRT. And tons of those are empty. Lots of empty space out there and yet not able to get a deed to do it. Just doesnt seem fair. Oh well. I will get one some day.

 

I've got a town lot and village lot in Port Titan already that I really like or I'd take you up on that. I'm just hoping for a 3rd lot for my tower.

 

Silly question, perhaps, but why are people so afraid of one person taking a bunch of deeds? What utility does a massive amount of taxed deeds provide to an individual player? I really only see a need for one house...

 

Well, if one person bought and won a whole bunch of deeds, they could turn around and sell them for in-game gold (or out of game money). I don't think I have a problem with this, but it certainly is a rich get richer scenario.

 

I dont understand why they didnt just make it one ticket per account per month. That's really the only "fair" way. Not against the raffle, but I think it could be better.

Still better than just putting the deeds on the vendor and all land gone 5 mins later.

that is a very valid question about specific lot types.

 

The ticket prices are subjected to the inventory system. Just go to Mediolanium POT next door. The home deco vendor is on the hill within castle wall selling tickets for 5k/10k POT/PAD each.

 

You are correct, however, running a raffle with real money is illegal in most states. States like to have a monopoly on everything related to gambling. As long as they don't accept COTO's directly, there is plausible deniability. It is not uncommon for games to run gambling content and there is lots of pure gambling games. But there is a fine line before the man arrives at the door.

 

After having purchased a couple of tickets, I think a possible solution/balance to the rich buying billions of tickets vs only allowing one ticket per player would be to increase the cost of subsequent tickets. 10k for the first, 15k for the second, etc...
