Release 4: A Retrospective in Oddities

Release 4 has come and gone, and for me it was a FUN ride. As much fun as it was to hang out with a lot of the players and a few VIPs, I had a lot of fun finding the odd moments such as bugs, places we probably SHOULD NOT have been and things we might not have been meant to see, so with no further ado, let the images begin!

Strange glyphs in the sky got a bit creepy from time to time.


Next we have Seamus Olgard, Smooth Criminal. For extra fun, try saving the two images and swapping between them in a picture viewer quickly, you might get an actual 3d effect!



Next, it was time to go to place not intended to be visited!

First was a journey outside of the known world. This came from the area known as "Forest01" or "Spider Pass". A few semi-secret passages, or easy jumps allowed me to find my way outside of the known world and onto an empty plain. Before that, there were a couple of oddities I ran into on the way...

First was this cotton plant that seemed to be the strongest plant in the Lost Vale, strong enough that I came across it holding up a bear's corpse and showing no sign of distress.


And a bit of mountain climbing:


Then it was time to REALLY go exploring:


Along the outside of the mountains were a couple of "caves" which proved hazardous as you could make your way into them, then find that they had closed you in with no chance for normal escape (/stuck or /zone <player> being the only option).

Then it was time to find the Edge Of The World!

 

At the Edge of the World, reality itself takes a bit of a vacation, or simply bids you farewell, it will see you when you get back to FireLotus Tavern



The ground proves to be made of Graphene, a two dimensional lattice of Carbon atoms! And there seems to be a "negative world"?



Even the sky itself bends at the Edge




The moon seemed close enough to touch or maybe jump on for a ride:




But alas, jumping was proven not to be enough. The World is a sphere.... but not in the way you think!

 

Waking up a bit later, it was time to "Get On Top Of Things™"

I did better than Lord British!


Helping SotA Radio hack the Tesla Tower sunrise to moonrise!




And thus ended the Times of Oddities in R4 for me.

 

Excellent! I myself had many of the same odd adventures... pity that I forgot to actually document them as you have.
