I was unable to repro. Can you restart client? Was it a particular node? I tried several.
Sounds like a fun (but scary) experience...

It happened to me twice. I harvested a brimstone node about a minute before the first time. The second time was after I landed after hitting -3000+ X or so. I was climbing a wooden structure close to the Plunderer area, then shot up to 445 meters above the ground again. X and Y locations should be close to where I was. Z is off by a fair bit.

I logged out of the game the second time while way up in the sky. I am at that location when I logged in a couple of minutes ago.

Ya it happened to me too. Here's a screenshot. Sorry I don't have more info atm, however I do promise that I will at some point soon return to Sunless Barrens to find all the ash!
