[Repro needed] Super dark environment

    1. Screen is super-dark. Screen shot is from the monkey room, (no night vision or light spell is in effect).

    2. I don't know how to reproduce. I have seen it before but I would consider this to be rare.

    3. Game is still playable but vision is very limited. I have seen it before, in other zones, and in earlier releases.

    4. Light spell has no effect beyond it's normal radius. Night Vision helps to a small degree. If there is a foggy environment it's pretty much impossible to see anything beyond a couple feet. Changing zones can remove the problem. Re-launching game will also remove the problem.

    5. I do not know how to recreate it but it seems to present itself if you are in game a very long time, and are using night vision / light a lot, such as spending several hours underground, for example.

    I have seen this before on one of my home machines. We happen to have the exact same video card. Updating my video drivers fixed it for me. No one else in my group had the issue I had. Have you tried updating yet? I haven't been able to repro since.
    It happened to me in Monkey room - I think that is where you are here? Also, what are your video settings at and how do you have shadows set? There are a lot of shadows in this scene.

    I don't think it is using night vision or light related (or at least your light).

    I have had this happen on 2 other occasions, in outdoor zones, so I do not think it is zone specific. I am running the latest geforce driver, in fact i updated it last week.

    Version 23.21.13.9065

    In my game video settings I have all boxes checked except for "Depth of Field", and shadow distance is set to "low". At 3480x2160 shadow distance is a killer on frame rates.


    I'll see if I can recreate it some time.
    Here is a PORTION of my sotalog from that day, starting with when I teleported to K'rull. There are hundreds maybe thousands of the "memory leak" lines. The original file is just over 900k in size:
