[Resolved] Game service errors

    This morning I could not get into the game. First I received a "cannot connect to game service" error, followed by a Potpie message. I also received a "Couldn't connect to the patch server" error. I had played the night before and nothing on my computer had changed or updated. Everything else on my computer was working fine. (connectivity, web traffic, etc.) But I did not have time to double check the settings of my ports as I had to go to work.

    So tonight I spent two hours trying to get into the game.

    - I checked my ports and all of them were fine.
    - I uninstalled and re-installed my desktop client and tried to log in (couldn't).
    - I tried to log in via Steam. (no luck)
    - I completely reset my Vipre Security program to "learning" and tried again with the desktop client using the "force launch" option.
    - At that point I *did* manage to log into the overworld map - but I could not move. I was standing on top of my POT (Duanor), so I clicked on it, but after a while I got another Potpie message.

    - I tried again to connect through Steam and got an "[ALTAIR9000] Networking connection closed by client" error.

    I don't know what has changed from last night to this night, but it's driving me nuts!

    Help?

    6/16/21 Update 7 am -
    I used "Force Launch" in desktop client and managed to log in one character but then got the ALTRAIR9000 error when I logged that character out and tried to log in the 2nd character on that account.

    I manually re-set all my port rules for both the launcher and the game in Vipre Security. Still received "Couldn't connect to the patch server" error message.

    Re-tried with Steam and received the same error.

    I opened my NVidia GForce settings to see if there was an update to that. There was not.
    But then....I tried the desktop client one more time - and I got in as usual!
    So - it was related to my NVidia GForce not loading at startup??
    That's my best guess. We'll see if it 'holds.'
    Well, it held for 4 accounts with 3 characters on each. Sooo, this might be resolved. I don't know if the foregoing would be any help to others having this issue or not (I heard that some others were also having this type of problem.)
