directly after receiving the Wildflower quest, ZERO wildflowers *anywhere* in Spindlecog; several scene reloads and multiple checks of all pin locations, and there simply aren't any Wildflowers anywhere. i've combed each area with cursor detached..0

nope, added a couple photos in 1st person from 2 of the locations (thought i'd scrnsht the 3rd) but no matter what perspective i take, they're not there.

which begs a question, how is my client so uniquely cursed when it comes to quests? it's all cuckoo pants...

 

just ran it again after logging and setting to Private mode from Open mode. nope.

 

You might just be having a hard time spotting them. They are very difficult to see. Also you do know that the blue magnifying glass markers do NOT show an exact location of where they are. They might or might not be at the blue marker. I think what you possibly are doing is going to where a marker is showing and finding no flower. That is working correctly. Now go to another marker and then look...

Magnifying Glass Markers: These are markers that show where an item MIGHT possibly be found at. These markers DO NOT show the exact location for the item you are looking for. You will need to search each of the areas indicated by these markers until you find the object you are looking for.

it would stand to reason that you'd be right, but like you may have seen in chat, i turned graphics settings all down/off and "combed" the area knowing that at the very least it would be a radius like similar quests. i spent so much time that i'm convinced they're either not there or they're *nowhere* in relation to the pins...still, i ran around recasting sneak every 7min all over the place grabbin rune stones for hours. but i'll try again when i have the stomach.

related questions:

isn't there an item that gives night vision that i might be able to borrow/purchase? think it would help?

why don't i see anything even in 1st person that appears to gently pulse green other than the usual?

harvestables pulse green. quest items pulse blue, if you have the option for the enabled (which you do, or there wouldn't be blue on your compass.)

 

Could this be effected by the GPU occlusion thing? Never actually tried that.

Also wondering if they are running around with night vision on?

looks like no Night Vision needed; i hadn't but thought i had set shadow distance to none. yeesh. thank you all for the help and for bearing with me!
