[Resolved] No Treasure from Restored Decrepit Map

    So I found the dig site in Sunless Barrens, got “you are not alone” message, and the ongoing event timer started. No mobs spawned, just the occasional lava golem that was likely part of the normal scene spawn. Timer counted down to zero with no appearance of the treasure chest. I lost 30 minutes of my life, the treasure map, and no treasure.
    First time event. Certainly aren’t going to waste more maps to see if it’s reproducible!

    @Warlord of Mars, that dig spot is not the normal patch of ground, a whole pile of rubble disappears when you dig it. it's a cave entrance you could have walked into.

    What am I missing? The dig site looks like a little crater and its appearance didn't change after digging. Is the cave elsewhere?

    It is very close. I think this is the only treasure map where you have to do a little extra searching.

    I had my back to the rubble pile when digging so I could face those mobs that never came and never saw the animation of the cave opening behind me. All is good now. Thx.
