    Title:
    Reproduction Rate:
    Blocker?
Details:If I go into the skills window and look at spells like say lightning. It shows that I have a %45 Fizzle Chance From Equipment. I was trying to eliminate as much of a failure rate as possible so I started by taking everything off my character. No change in the fizzle chance.

That's permanently in the skill description for any fizzle penalties. I know this can be a little confusing, but what you are wearing (as well as your Follow Through skill in Focus) is what's really going to determine your fizzle.

Thanks for the replay and you are correct. I'm more confused now. Where might I turn for answers?

Basically the line in the skill description "Fizzle chance from equipment" has an effect X on your skills which I can't possibly explain, which doesn't change no matter what you wear. The line you want to focus on is "Fizzle Chance" under the Cost, above the amount of Glyphs you can have in your deck.

if you are using a fire skill that has +50% fizzle from equipment, and the spell's base chance to fizzle is 10%, then

if you're wearing all cloth with no fizzle your chance to fizzle will be

    10 base + (0 from gear * 1.50 fizzle from gear = 0 ) = 10%

if you're wearing some plate and the fizzle on it adds up to 20,

    10 base + (20 from gear * 1.50 fizzle from gear = 30 ) = 40%

so this has a negligible effect on light armor; it's a way of making it really hard for heavy armor wearers to cast skills in the left hand side of the wheel (fire, death, air)
