   Avatar swings sword when reticle is red.
   
   Avatar swings sword when Avatar turns a little and reticle turns white. Keeps on swinging. And presumably hitting.
   
   Avatar stops swinging sword (in combat still) when Avatar turns a little more and reticle is still white.
   
   Conclusion: Combat red reticle is not indicative of full combat arc.

   This is correct. I think the reticle is a bit misleading. I don't think it is using the same rules as the actual combat targeting. It probably should be using the same rules as your currently equipped weapon uses.
