The only magical attack I used at the time was Ignite Weapon, all others were ranged skills. I suppose it's possible that I have a 100% kill rate by Ignite Weapon on every death metal slime in Tartarus, except for the one solitary slime that spawns in the first room, which I somehow also have a 100% kill rate by physical attacks, despite using the exact same glyphs and strategies against all death metal slimes.

...or, more likely, all the slimes were killed by physical attacks, given that 99% of the damage I did in any fight would have been physical, but that one slime is different than all the others, and is the only death metal slime that splits when killed.

 

Come to think of it, I don't recall ever seeing a coral slime split either. Only the green ones, and that lone death metal slime.

I did the death metal slimes but I had better luck with the giant shrooms in Mysterious Swamp.

 

Any of the green colored shrooms can drop them. I have gotten a few rings off the shrooms in Upper Fortus when down there killing kobolds for fresh water fishing rings. But the respawn and such is a bit iffy on those.

 

I'll have to pay attention to the color net time.
