Title: ripples around player don't end when have left the water

Details: not sure if this belongs in animations. step into water deep enough, ripples form around you. move around at that depth, the follow you. step out, they linger permanently where you crossed the shallow point. enter somewhere else along the bank, the old one clears when the new one forms

II think I have same the issue: the edge of the water is visible (see red arrows) and yet I can swim in this area where water is not present (but ripple effects from avatar are).
